The Justice League |Movie Review

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and The Justice Leagueinspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.” (IMBD)

Review: I extremely enjoyed seeing all of my favorite D.C. superheroes in one movie. Aquaman  was my favorite character in this segment, but I wish there was more of a back story to his character. Hopefully, the lack of it means that we will be getting a full Aquaman movie.

I didn’t realize that Flash and Cyborg already had separate origin movies created about them. Obviously, we also have the original Batman Franchise and the new Wonder woman also out. Wonder woman was excellent for those that have not seen it yet, I highly recommend you watch it.  I am not familiar with the Justice League in the sense that I never really watched any of the cartoons or read the comics with all the D.C. characters involved. I mostly, enjoyed the individual stories. However, I loved seeing all the heroes interact together. I also noticed some slight hinting of romance between Batman and Wonder Woman. If that is going to be a ship, I am totally sailing on it.

I was disappointed in the villain, Steppenwolf in this movie. I felt that he had a lot of connection with the Amazonian’s, and although there were other heroes protecting mother boxes that he wanted, I didn’t feel like their was enough connection. However, I did enjoy that this movie was connected “Superman vs. Batman” and I feel like you should watch that first before watching this one because there are a lot of  spoilers in this movie for “Superman vs. Batman”.  Also, shout out to the Flash. He was such a relatable character for young people. I personally related a lot to him on the sense that he is a little geeky and doesn’t really have a place in the world until he discovers his super powers and finds his calling. I also didn’t know much about Cyborg, going into this movie so I will have to watch his origin movie, but I loved that the Justice League movie did provide a little of a backstory so the viewer was not totally lost.

Overall, this movie was great, I do recommend it to those that love the D.C. Universe. My only complaint was the villain, but even then I can live peacefully knowing all my favorite superheroes fought together to beat him. Also, I have to mention that this movie is filled with humor and even at serious parts a character would drop a funny line and I couldn’t help but grin. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should. And if you have seen it I hope you found it as enjoyable as I did.

With Warm Cups of Tea, and A Few More Chapters,

Rina
